About Us
Who We Are – Lancet Laboratories Uganda
Since our incorporation in April 2009, Lancet Laboratories Uganda has grown to become the leading provider of private diagnostic pathology services in the country. As part of the esteemed Lancet Laboratories East Africa Group, we are supported by a regional network with strong quality oversight rooted in Kenya, South Africa, and Europe.
We participate in external quality assurance (EQA) programs with a body called Thistle and NHLS (National Health Laboratory Services SA) in which we have all our departments covered: Hematology, Chemistry, Immunology, Coagulation, Microbiology and Flow Cytometry. At every step, from collection to result delivery, we uphold global standards of accuracy, professionalism, and care delivering diagnostics you can trust.

At Lancet Laboratories Uganda, quality is not just a standard, it’s a daily practice embedded in every step of our operations. Each day, we run rigorous internal quality control (IQC) procedures across all departments and branches to ensure the precision and consistency of our test results. Every team, from Kampala to our regional sites, participates in this continuous quality assurance process.
From the moment a sample is collected to the instant results are delivered, every part of our workflow is subject to strict audits and quality checks.This unified, technology-driven approach strengthens our commitment to delivering reliable, timely, and trusted results, making us a preferred diagnostic partner in Uganda’s healthcare system.
ISO ACCREDITATION
To deliver consistent quality to every level of our business, Lancet Laboratories Uganda adheres to the highest international criteria set out according to ISO Standard 15189:2022. Our quality assurance team works hard to achieve and maintain accreditation throughout its structure.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
We are offering a wide range of safe and accessible payment options. We are making payment process simple, convenient, and secure for any patient.
Cash
Cash payment is acceptable across all our branches. Any patient can request for a test of their choice without necessarily providing a request form from a doctor.
Mobile Payment
Available across all our branches. You can pay with your phone quickly, easily, and safely. Mobile payments with Airtel and MTN provide cashless transactions which are more reliable.
Insurance
We accept insurance coverage after a patient has visited a doctor under insurance and can present us with a request form with underlying diagnosis. We will contact your health insurance company to obtain a pre-authorization number. We must obtain permission from your health insurance company and will contact you back before receiving any health care services at one of our laboratories.
